Dr. Junfei Xie is currently an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the San Diego State University (SDSU). She received her B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), Chengdu, China, in 2012. She received her M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2013 and Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from University of North Texas (UNT), Denton, TX, in 2016. Before joining SDSU, she was an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computing Sciences at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi (TAMUCC). Her research interests include large-scale dynamic system design and control, uncertainty quantification, networked airborne computing, mobile edge computing, unmanned aerial systems, air traffic flow management, spatiotemporal data analysis, and complex information systems, etc. She is the recipient of multiple prestigious awards such as the NSF CAREER Award, SDSU Presidential Research Faculty Fellow Award, San Diego Top 50 Women of Influence in Engineering, etc. She currently serves as the Editor of Unmanned Systems and Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics - Systems. She is a senior member of IEEE and AIAA.
